Understanding Your Magnesium Burn Rate

What is a magnesium burn rate?

This is how fast you burn through magnesium. So many factors play a role in this, such as; sleep, sugar, processed carbs, stress, medications, medical procedures, autoimmune issues, and more.

How do I know what mine is?

After a 30 Day Soaking Challenge we recommend getting your Magnesium Blood Test, RBC tested. You can order that here

What is maintenance soaking?

You want to soak as little as possible and maintain cell saturation of 6.3 or above. This will vary for each person.

For example:

  • If your Magnesium Test, RBC, came in at a 6.0, you don’t have far to go for cell saturation. Try soaking 1 to 2 times a week for 45 days.
  • If your Magnesium Test, RBC, came in at a 5.0, you probably need to soak 3 to 4 times a week for 45 days to achieve cell saturation.
  • Want to fast-track achieving magnesium cell saturation? Check out these tips

After this, you can retest your Magnesium Test, RBC.

Did you stay the same? Increase by a day to achieve cell saturation.

Did you achieve cell saturation of 6.3 or above? Drop down to one or two days a week to maintain.

You have now discovered your maintenance soaking requirements. You want to continue soaking in magnesium to maintain cell saturation based on this number.
